Who we are
Spark Action Lab envisions a Pacific Northwest accountable to young people first.
Founded as a 501c3 nonprofit in early 2025, Spark Action Lab accelerates community change by leveraging youth and community-led research, organizing, and radical imagination. Our mission is simple—but bold: to end youth homelessness together. We work alongside young people experiencing homelessness, direct service workers, and local communities to build new pathways, foster leadership, and transform the systems meant to support them.
Our board is 75% people with lived experience of homelessness, bringing over a decade of organizing, mutual aid, and direct service experience. We cultivate leadership from within the communities we serve, ensuring those closest to the issue drive decision-making, program development, and strategy.
Through initiatives like our Social Dreaming Matrix Series and the upcoming SEED Fellowship Project, we bring together organizers, youth, and service providers across Washington and Oregon to imagine, strategize, and implement innovative solutions to youth homelessness. By centering lived experience, radical imagination, and ethical collaboration, we work toward a PNW where young people are supported, empowered, and never disposable.
At Spark Action Lab, we don’t just advocate for change—we make it happen.
